Whip Yo Hair

I whip my hair back and forth !!!

Girls doing some hairography or flipping their hair back like Arial from the little mermaid , either way hot stuff! :D  

This pose was popularised by Willow's Smith's catchy song "I Whip my Hair Back and Forth." In the video, she goes crazy with the hair whipping and this has inspired people to 'whip' their hair while taking photos. The end effect? A fun, crazy photo! :)

Raise Your Leg

Raise ur leg up or get a friend to hold it , if u wanna look a bit more classy kick up backwards like the girl in the last photo  ;)

This pose is fun and seductive! It is very popular among girls and their friends. 

The main subject of the photo is the leg and damn, dont they look great?  

This pose is more classy than the ones above. It reminds me of a fairytale, where the guy kisses the girl and she raises her leg. So sweet and cute! :)

Reow

 Meow , Reow , pur your fingers together like little cat paws , purse your lips and you're cute as a kitty

The name is pretty self-explanatory, the cat pose! This pose requires the subject to pose like a cat. You guys must be wondering why? haha its all for a bit of fun, and plus, its kind of cute!

This pose has become pretty popular, with hundreds of images being uploaded online and shared through social networking sites, such as Facebook.

Puck You

Be cool and stick your middle fingers up cos thats the way to do it , nothing rude intended just adds a little bit of swagger to your pics ;)

In Western countries, the middle finger is an offensive and obscene gesture, colloquially known as 'giving the finger'. It is usually an insult to the person it is directed to. However, this gesture has lost much of its meaning in recent years, with people using it as poses in photographs. It is not taken offensively and its just another fun addition to the photo; something different i guess.

Wanna pose with your partner ? how cute are these!! get your guy to hold you and lift your legs up 

 

Whenever you look at these types of photos, you go 'naww how cute :')" well, that's how i react anyway hehe :)

i absolutely adore these photos. They present us, the viewers, with happiness and love! the way they look at each other or how they kiss each other reminds me of young love, and the endless boundaries. Its a fun, memorable shot and is best taken with a nice background.

Cover your Face

Dont wanna show your face? well dont worry cos youll look cool hiding it check these girls out!

Maybe the photographer decided to take the photo when you weren't ready yet? Or maybe after a night out, you dont want your face to be seen in photos? This pose is a great way to cover up imperfections that you dont want people to see, with abit of class ;)

Love Heart

Wanna show some love then put your hands together to form a love heart and you've got a cute loving pose <3

You could do it by yourself, or even with your boyfriend or girlfriend; this pose creates some lovin' to your photos ;)

This pose requires the subject to take both hands or one hand and place the thumbs together to form an arc shape. It is important to make the arc, otherwise, you might look like youre holding a burger, which is kind of weird dont you think? LOL

Hand On Hip

This has to be one of the most popular poses the girls are doing, turn your body and put your hand on your hip and you've got one hot photo!

One thing i've noticed about myself when taking photos is that i constantly go back to the classic good old hand on hip pose. This made me wonder why we all do it!? Does it make us skinnier by taking the arm fat from squashing to your body or does it make us look sexier? 

I would like to think both :) however it does make us look like a little teapot with one arm on the hips for the handle ;) 

This gesture was used to communicate that a person is ready for assertive action, but it means so much more in photos now. 

Triangle

Triangle, 3 corners 3 sides , make the pointy little shape with your hands and you've got yourself a pose, easy? yes it is !
this pose has 2 origins:
1. it was the hand symbol that represented Jay-Z's rocafella connection and it means "diamonds are forever" and 
2. it can also be an nba reference that symbolizes "isolation play" and came from the triangle offence of an nba game (a series of passes)

however! it could just be a simple pose for fun - its easy and interesting. 
it covers your face but it could also frame your face in a triangle shape! its pretty, effective and different. so have a go and frame your face into a triangle one day!

    

Goldfish

Bolup bolup, stick your thumb and index together and your posing like a fish!! 

you could also do this with your hands upside down! (like our 'pose of the week' photo) pretty creative and interesting! this makes your face look different yet still maintaining that crazy pretty look at the same time ;)

dont want your eye bags to be noticed? maybe you've been crying and your eye make up has been ruined? maybe a lazy eye? with this pose you can change these situations and make it look as it nothing has ever happened! pretty cool dont you think?

 

Peace "V"

One of the most popular poses done by people of all ages , simple and fun all you have to do is  just stick your index and middle finger up so they look like a "V"!


this pose, also known as the 'peace sign' IS VERY popular and can be seen pretty much everywhere! everyday people do it in their photos, as well as tourists and you're favourite celebrities as well! 

 




The V sign is a hand gesture in which the index and middle fingers are raised and parted, while the other fingers are clenched. It has various meanings, depending on the cultural context and how it is presented. it can be 'v' for victory/peace, the number '2' or just for fun - for some people, it could probably be a pose just out of habit! its cute, funky and easy!

Pretty Puppet Pose

how pretty is this!? she makes an awkward pose look good!!! 


posing like this is very popular in modelling shows like America's Next Top Model as well as Australia's and can be easily achieved every day by anyone! all you have to do is pose in any way that looks awkward yet sexy at the same time! or you can just pose like a puppet ! both ways work ;) looks pretty easy to pull off yeh? 

you can play around with it by dressing up and putting make up on as well - it doesnt even have to be as glamourous as this one below!

horsemanning !

so did you guys think planking and batmanning was cool? well, you should check out horsemanning.. i think its kinda freaky - i mean, posing headless, really?? and using someone else's head with your neck. Yet, its still pretty cool ! it started in 1920 where it was popular to fake beheading... is it just me or is this idea a little weird? it is now experiencing a revival where the aim is to make it appear that the photo's subject has been beheaded, like the headless horseman..
Hmm... so me and my friends tried it - and it looks pretty freaking cool dont you think?

LOL. looks cool yeah ! but like planking, i think it can still pass as dangerous !!!! these poses aren't always fun and games.. like mentioned below - the guy that died from planking on a balcony! i just think that you should be careful when doing these things...

Batmanning

You thought planking was crazy? Well Instead of simply lying face down in odd places, the new pose "Batmanning" where people dangle precariously by their feet has hit the shores of Australia and storming all around the world.

One internet comment reads: "Someone is eventually going to die." Planking hit the headlines after a fan fell to his death performing it on a balcony in Brisbane, Australia.The new trend is already being slammed as even more perilous. A group called the 'Batman Boilers' , from Purdue University in Indiana are claiming credit for making the idea popular across the world with their Youtube video:

Planking

Why are there people randomly laying around face down everywhere :O!!!! Are they trying to be funny , or are they just plain stupid either way its the new trend and lots of people are catching onto it. This sure is one definitely awkward way to POSE!

PLANKING is a game  where the objective is to lay down on your face in the most strangest places and get someone to take a photo of you and post it up online!  For those who dont know what planking is heres a video to teach you how the game works:

Hi guys, this is our first post on our new blog! This is an snapshot of how we want out blog to look like. Our topic is about awkward and funny positions that people pose in, and share around the internet and social networking sites. We essentially want the blog to be fun and vibrant, much like our topic.

We would like to use a basic layout with our blog posts on the left and gadgets on the right. Our comments and chat box is for opinions and participation of viewers. The gadgets also consists of our blog followers and a link to our twitter.

we want a background colour that isnt too bright to attract attention from the blog posts itself, so maybe an orange brown colour. The logo will be photoshopped, we havent decided on a final design yet though.

We will add a variety of tags associated with the blog posts, so that it is easier to find related blog posts.
